[one_third] [image][/image] [/one_third] [two_third_last] Florin Gheorghe FILIP took his MSc and PhD in control engineering from the TU “Politehnica” of Bucharest. In 1991 he was elected as a member of the Romanian Academy (RA). He has been a scientific researcher at the National R&D Institute in Informatics (ICI) of Bucharest. Currently he is a part-time researcher at the National Institute of Economic Researches (INCE) of the RA, also the director of the Library of the Academy. He was elected as vice-president of RA in 2000 and reelected in 2002 and 2006. His main scientific interests include large–scale systems, decision support systems, technology management and foresight. The IE 2013 conference presentation of Acad. (1966), Professor (1968), Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (2007), Honorary Member of the Russian Project Management Association (SOVNET, 2007). Over 50 years-long researcher in stochastic network projecting, simulation of complex systems, theory of controlling organization systems. Since 1985 resident in Israel. Publisher of 20 books and over 500 articles in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. Participator in world-renown scientific conferences. Advisor to about 50 Ph.D. and D.Sc. scholars in Russia and Israel. At present Professor-Emeritus at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Beer-Sheva, Israel) and Acting Professor at the Ariel University Center of Samaria (Ariel, Israel). MUNTEAN has graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science, „Politehnica” University of Timisoara in 1986. Currently, professor Mihaela I. Muntean is the chair of the Business Information Systems and Statistics Department at the West University of Timişoara and an IT independent consultant. She is interested in information technology and knowledge management, her research activity results are published in over 70 papers in indexed reviews and conference proceedings. Now, she is teaching advances in database management systems, business intelligence, decision support systems, bringing important contribution to the foundation of higher education in Economic Informatics within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Timişoara.
